Romanian Labor Chamber announcement: working books and related services
Service of Work Evidence from ITM (Labor Chamber) will be dissolved starting with January 2011. All the employers will have the responsibility for the registrations and evidence of their labor contracts (i.e. new labor contracts, changes and closings, payroll statements, working books and certificates of length in service). All registrations related to work activity up to 31.12.2010 (last registration will be dated 01.01.2011) should be written in the working books and certified by Labor Chamber.
The employers will take over the working books and are obligated to hand them over to individuals during the period 01.02.2011 – 30.06.2011. Starting 31.01.2011, no more work related registrations will be done by Service of Work Evidence.
Following these changes, Labor Inspection Law will be changed as well and part of the Labor Chamber inspectors will be in charge with new duties, such as controlling and inspection.
Inspection Service will control directly the employers if they are in compliance with the above mentioned regulations.
