Senior Accountant in Romania

Our Senior Accountants are the ones who own deep accounting knowledge and have reached a high-level of independence in fulfilling their responsibilities, being also able to coordinate small and medium sized teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordination of the assigned projects and the team of accountants working on the respective projects, planning and control of the operations performed at team level
• Preparation of the yearly closing of books and booking of the closing operations (sometimes in collaboration with the Accounting Manager)
• Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc reports for the clients
• Preparation of statistical reports or reports for the National Bank and other institutions
• Preparation of the monthly mandatory tax declarations and statements (in some cases, VAT reimbursement is done in collaboration with the Tax Manager)
• Setting up cooperation with new clients
• Permanent communication with clients (in Romanian and English)
• Providing methodical support to the team you are coordinating

Requirements

• To be a sociable, organized and open-minded person, with passion for accounting
• University education attained with economical/accounting specialization
• At least four years of experience
• Experience in team management
• Local/international certification (completed or in process of completion)
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an asset)
• Knowledge of English at advanced level (both written and spoken); Romanian is a must
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel
