Your responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the classification and interpretation of primary accounting information, ensuring that records and operations are carried out in accordance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and contribute to the monthly/annual financial statements, ensuring that the process is efficient and adheres to established standards
  • Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and correctness of financial data
  • Anticipate risks and identify practical solutions for management with a focus on reducing or eliminating associated risks
  • Actively participate in the annual inventory of assets, liabilities and equity, contributing to accurate asset management
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to improve the efficiency and quality of internal financial processes
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure proper completion of audit files
  • Accurately calculate profit tax, depreciation, bad debt provisions, etc. in accordance with tax and accounting regulations
  • Carefully prepare VAT returns and check against ANAF sheets to ensure compliance with tax requirements
  • Assist in dealing with banks, tax authorities, statistical institutions, CECCAR, CCF, actively participating in the preparation of various reports and situations requested by these institutions
  • Participate in the monthly analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyse variances between budget/forecast and actual performance
  • Provide training, mentoring and coaching to team colleagues, and intervene where necessary for their ongoing skills development.

What we are expecting from you

  • University degree (accountancy, business, economics) and CECCAR diploma and/or postgraduate training (an ACCA qualification constitutes an advantage)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in financial statement analysis and financial control
  • Good knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax legislation
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact efficiently at different levels within the organisation;
  • Previous experience of working with various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
