Senior Tax Consultant in Romania

The main objective of this role is to provide tax advisory to a portfolio of companies in different industries and on different tax issues.

Key responsibilities

• Tax advisory assistance in any tax area to our clients operating in various fields, as well as review/verifications of tax returns prepared by juniors
• Identification of all tax liabilities which may be applicable to our clients, as well as the tax exposure of the client in an accurate and efficient manner
• Assistance in the transfer pricing area, preparation and review of transfer pricing files and benchmarking studies
• Tax assistance and tax representation before the Romanian tax authorities, including also assistance during tax audits, as well as within subsequent stages
• Review of various reports that are required by virtue of international legislation, e.g. CbC reporting
• Internal and external trainings on various tax topics
• Maintenance of a good communication and relationship with our clients, as well as supervision of junior tax advisors

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics
• Very good knowledge of Romanian and international tax law, preferably in any tax area; yet, focus and interest in a specific tax area would not represent an obstacle
• Brief knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards would constitute an advantage
• Minimum 3 year-experience in tax advisory
• A national certification (Romanian Tax Advisory Chamber / Romanian Accounting Chamber) or an international one (ADIT, ACCA) represent an advantage
• Very good command of English and specific tax advisory terminology
• Organizational and communication skills
• Capability to work both independently and within a team
