Starting 1st January 2011, the monthly minimum gross salary increased to RON 670 for a full time working schedule. In case of part – time schedule, the minimum hourly rate will be adjusted by comparing the minimum level of salary with the average of monthly working hours.
The employer cannot set up wages under the minimum level and failure to comply with this regulation is fined from RON 1.000 to RON 2.000.
