In October 2017, at our headquarters in Bratislava, Slovakia, the Office Gallery project came to life, within which the works of Slovak and Czech artists are periodically displayed in our premises, chosen by the curator and gallery owner Ľudmila Pašková.
The goal of this project is to bring art closer to people in their natural environment. Individual exhibitions are changed regularly so that colleagues, clients and visitors have the opportunity to admire a wide range of artworks by renowned local artists.
Being art-enthusiasts and having a new space at the disposal, our Romanian branch joined the project, with the desire to promote local artists. We made our office in Bucharest available for painters and sculptors, ceramists, graphic artists, engravers, photographers and other talented people who manage to transmit emotion through their works.
In June, our colleagues and business partners had the chance to admire the photographs of Emil Popescu, an independent photographer, who chose to display some of his works from his trip to Nepal, highlighting contrasts between sadhu (Hindu “holy people”, ascetics and yogis), elderly from the outskirts of Kathmandu capital and the universal innocence of children.
“After more than ten years in which for me, as a journalist, words represented the raw material, now the focus is on the image. There are two very different worlds, of course, but they have the same essence: they communicate, give away information, states of mind, feelings. To my customers I offer family and corporate photography services, but I nourish my soul from nature, travel or theatre photography. In terms of style, there are two traits I try to capture on each frame: to be natural, simple, but also representative of the moment or subject. Thus, not coincidentally, so many of my pictures are with and about children; on the one hand, they are the definition of naturalness, and on the other I have the opportunity to capture special moments so that their future memories are born from my passion” says Emil (Baby Steps Photography).
In Accace, we believe that engagement in local communities – with the aim of contributing to create a positive impact on people working in these communities – is as important as any other service our company offers.
Since we want to promote talent and work while living in an era in which time becomes insufficient to stop and admire art, art at the office has turned into a gift that we can give, almost every day, to our colleagues and partners.
