19 years of Accace: Growing with responsibility | Press release

September 9, 2025

This year, Accace turns 19, a time to celebrate not just our achievements, but also the values that have guided us along the way. While our story began with a small office and a bold vision, what truly shaped our growth over the years has been a consistent sense of responsibility. Responsibility to our clients, to the work we commit, to each other and to the kind of company we want to build.

At Accace, responsibility underpins our flexibility, our trust in each other and our promise to deliver high-quality, excellent results. As we celebrate another year together, our leaders share a reflection on what responsibility means within our culture.

“Responsibility in our flexible, kind and human centric culture is a very important topic to address,” explains Mihaela Pašek-Virlan, the CEO of Accace. “Generally, flexibility comes with a lot of freedom – but freedom works only with responsibility. In our team, “responsible” means we know that we need to get things done, we keep promises, we respect time (ours and others’) and we choose kindness even when work is intense by communicating tirelessly with each other and with Customers. The real “boss” is the task at hand and the work that needs to be done, even when everyone has a different pace. That’s how we make flexibility sustainable and how each of us sets up for success.

To me responsibility means: keeping promises, deadlines and respect time – yours and everyone else’s. Calendars are our quiet contracts: work on your own time but stay efficient and make sure everyone can reach you including Customers and colleagues. Fewer meetings, sharper agendas, clear owners. That’s how we set each other up for success in a world of constant distractions from so many tools.”

For me, being responsible in relation to Clients means in particular acting openly and transparently, keeping one’s word and consistently insisting on compliance with contractual and other obligations,” says Jana Vasilenková Global Lead of BPO services. “It means respecting the Client’s requirements while also being able to offer more suitable alternatives. Responsibility also means listening carefully (both to the Client and to internal teams) perceiving feedback on our cooperation and looking for ways to improve it. At times, it means addressing issues directly when the cooperation is not running smoothly. And in the long run, it means building strong, reliable client relationships not only based on personal rapport or the qualities of a few individuals, but by ensuring excellence in delivery across all Accace teams.

I also try to express my responsibility towards my colleagues: in every decision I make, I consider the short- and long-term impact it may have on them. I strive to support an environment where they can grow professionally and personally, with the right motivation and stability in place. Responsibility also means being open and transparent, creating space for regular feedback and honest communication. It’s about being patient, ready to listen and (most importantly) leading by personal example.

Petr Neškrábal, Global Lead of Advisory services, has a very clear definition of responsibility in Accace as well: “Responsibility means we care about impact of our actions on us as well as on people around. Without responsibility you can never be trusted!”

Over the past 19 years, we’ve grown across borders, embraced new technologies, built long-lasting partnerships and welcomed hundreds of amazing people into our team. But none of it would have been possible without a shared sense of responsibility: toward delivering on promises, supporting one another and continuously raising the bar for how we work and how we lead.

Here’s to 19 years of being responsible, together and to continuing to grow with purpose, care and accountability.
