About 8,000 children are born prematurely each year in the Czech Republic. Medical science can do miracles, but for families of premature babies, the situation is still difficult and costly. Therefore, our Brno branch is supporting The Foundation for Premature Children and Their Families already for 3 years.
How did we decide for premature babies? We do it the same way in all Czech branches. We collect tips from all employees. Then our teams choose the best “candidates” who receive our financial or personal help.
In Brno and Ostrava our 2018 help aimed also to the Pink Bubble Fund which makes the dreams of young people with oncological diagnosis come true. We also supported another organizations which help to seriously ill children – Šance onkoláčkům and Good Angel – and little siblings Adélka and Matyášek with congenital dystrophy.
Imperfect laws and irresponsible parents cause that tens of thousands of children in the Czech Republic can be called debtors. We have financially supported the organization Děti bez dluhů that helps them and also wants to change this absurd situation.
In summer, one of our Brno employees took a part in youth volunteer brigade called SummerJob. And at the end of the year we also sponsored Benepink – the benefit badminton tournament organized by Liga vozíčkářů – the league of disabled people.
We’re already wondering where we will send a small amount of help and joy this year.
