In our #PeopleOfAccace series, we’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look at Accace through interviews. You’ll find out how we come up with new services and solutions, who has been with Accace the longest and what positions they’ve held over the years, but above all, you’ll get to know our amazing people. This time, we chatted with Dana Folenta, our Office Manager.

What brought you to Accace, and what were your first impressions of the team and work environment?

I was looking for a job that was nearby, ideally with a great view and nice spaces. I wanted to feel good and actually enjoy showing up every day. For me, it’s not just about the job itself, but also the place where I’ll be spending 8 hours a day. Right from the start, the Accace team was really kind, friendly, and welcoming.

What do you think are the key parts of being an Office Manager? What do you love most about it?

My main tasks include coordinating administrative activities, making sure the office runs smoothly, and supporting the rest of the team. Besides, I also handle organizing company events and communicating with suppliers. For me, though, these are all things I absolutely love.

What helps you handle work challenges?

A cool head, a cup of coffee, and a gorgeous view.

You lived and worked abroad for many years. How’s the work environment and teamwork different here?

The mindset here in Slovakia is completely different from abroad—I’m still getting used to it. Overseas, customer service is generally on another level, which comes with bigger markets. That means bigger expectations, demands, and stress. Here, I prefer the greater calm and peace compared to abroad.

Do you plan to introduce any changes or improvements to make the office run even better?

Even though I haven’t been at Accace all that long, I’ve already managed to bring in a few changes. It’s really important to me that my colleagues feel at home here. If I can help make their workday a little cozier or pleasant, I’ll do it.

If you had to sum yourself up in one sentence, what would it be?

I am a tolerant, accommodating and punctual person.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m into reading books, trying out new restaurants and tasty food. Every now and then, I’ll go to a movie or play. I love long walks in the woods, dancing, listening to music, attending festivals or concerts.
