Trenčín branch

In our series #PeopleOfAccace, we bring you behind the scenes of Accace through interviews. You will learn how new services and solutions are created here, who has been at Accace the longest and what positions they have held over the years, but most importantly, you will get to know our wonderful people. In the current interview, we interviewed the entire team of our youngest branch in Trenčín.

How do you like working at our branch in Trenčín and what do you enjoy most about working here?

Payroll team: We are a great team, we get along very well professionally as well as personally. Currently, there are six of us working in Trenčín, and in the summer we are preparing for another change. Two new colleagues will come on board and one will leave us to fulfill her motherly duties. We work great in Trenčín, we are a smaller team, which suits us. We enjoy working in a beautiful office located in a premium location.

Accounting team: As a team, we work very well at the Trenčín branch. There are six accountants, who are part of four different teams. We share the office space with payroll department, with whom we get on well and support each other. We appreciate the warm and collegial atmosphere that prevails in the team and the fact that we can help each other. Accounting is systematic, but at the same time it constantly brings new challenges that move us forward as a team, but also as individuals.

What surprised you the most about working at this branch?

Payroll team: The Trenčín branch has a perfect layout, two spacious terraces overlooking the city, and we all enjoy working in a smaller team, where we meet colleagues from other teams. The branch is modern but we make it cozy with flowers, or photos from Accace parties and teambuildings. We are an accounting firm, but our office is not full of files and papers at all. We are trying to transform them into electronic form as much as possible within the framework of sustainability. This pleasantly surprised me about working in the Trenčín branch.

Accounting team: On behalf of our team, we can say that we are satisfied with how the branch looks. It is large and spacious. What really surprised me at first was the friendly environment, which persists to this day. One would expect a more formal environment, but how well we get along with colleagues across teams and other departments, and how willingly we help each other, is the most beautiful thing about working at this branch.

What does a typical working day at a branch look like?

Payroll team: In our work, a typical day in the first half of the month looks completely different than in the second half of the month (after payouts). The beginning of the month is marked by maximum concentration in calculating wages and sometimes we don’t even have time to grab a lunch. After the paychecks, our team is full of laughter and a relaxed atmosphere again. We are lucky that there is an excellent restaurant not far from the office, where we can go for lunch together with colleagues from other teams. We are a great team and we always look forward to spend time in the office. We alternate work in Trenčín with an occasional work from home and once a month we visit colleagues in Bratislava.

Accounting team: Our typical working day at the Trenčín branch depends on what part of the month we are in. We have a calmer beginning of the month, when we process invoices, checks, or even deal with operational requirements from clients or colleagues. Of course, we are available to the client throughout the month. The middle of the month can be more intense. We focus mainly on VAT processing, which requires consistency, speed and precision. On the contrary, the end of the month is focused more on the preparation of outputs and reports for clients. At that point it is important to have things closed and handed over on time.

However, there are days when, after lunch or over a pleasant coffee, we share work experience, but also personal experiences from everyday life, which strengthens mutual trust and open communication.

What do you think makes the branch in Trenčín unique compared to the headquarters in Bratislava?

Payroll team: Undoubtedly, there is more peaceful and calmer environment. Trenčín is a much smaller city compared to Bratislava, which reflects in time spend traveling to a branch or parking. Our premises are unique. We have two terraces, each of which is oriented to a different direction. This gives us the opportunity to enjoy morning and afternoon coffee in the shade or in the sun, depending on the season.

Accounting team: The payroll girls captured it perfectly. We have nothing more to add.

How do you perceive the cooperation between colleagues in Trenčín and Bratislava? Which colleagues or teams do you work with the most?

Payroll team: We can say that we are in daily contact with our colleagues in Bratislava, depending on the projects we are currently working on. Once a week we have a senior online meeting and always after paychecks we make a trip to Bratislava, where we meet at our regular pay meetings. Girls from Bratislava sometimes come to Trenčín, so our cooperation is very close, even though we work in different cities and at other branches.

Accounting team: Some of our colleagues belong to work teams together with colleagues from Bratislava, with whom they deal with the daily agenda, such as the SHELL team or TAMKY. Although we work in different cities, the collaboration between our teams is smooth and efficient, especially thanks to online tools and meetings where we consult procedures and solve tasks. Cooperation between us does not only take place at the working level. We can laugh together and because we are a smaller team in Trenčín, we are not divided into departments, which allows us to meet and spend time together even during breaks. These informal meetings contribute to a good atmosphere and strengthen relationships between colleagues.

What advantages and challenges do you face when working in Trenčín?

Payroll team: Among the advantages, we would definitely point out traveling to Trenčín, which is trouble-free and fast. Another advantage is, for example, a spacious and airy office, which creates an excellent place for our work. We have parking spaces directly in the garage of our building, which we all consider a great advantage. The challenge for us in a predominantly female team is to function with technical devices on a daily basis without a male assistance and an IT department on the phone.

Accounting team: We feel the same way.

What would you say to those who are considering cooperation with our branch in Trenčín? Why should they choose us?

Payroll team: If you like new challenges, working in a dynamic team and in beautiful spaces, our Trenčín office is perfect for you. Potential clients who are considering cooperation with us and are based in the Trenčín region have the opportunity to visit our branch in person. Thanks to this, they do not have to travel to the headquarters in Bratislava.

Accounting team: Despite the fact that our branch is not large and our team is smaller, we are a very cohesive team that emphasizes responsibility, reliability and quality work. The Trenčín branch offers clients advice and assistance in a pleasant environment with always well-tuned staff.
