No more stamps from 2013!
We would like to draw your attention to the change regarding duty to pay charges to state authorities. From the year 2013 so called stamps, used for settlement of court and administrative charges very often, are going to be cancelled.
From the 1st January 2013 stamps shall not be sold any more. Stamps which you have in disposal and also those to be issued until the year 2012, can be used until 30th September 2013. Not used stamps can be given to Slovak Post Office, a.s. (post office) during entire year 2013. After you submit application including stamps to the post office, equivalent nominal value will be paid to you within 30 days.
Instead of stamps other means for settlement of court and administrative charges shall be used, and thus:
- cash (if the amount of a charge does not exceed EUR 300 state authorities shall accept cash, except applications filed in the Company Register)
- credit card (if the amount of the charge exceeds EUR 100 state authorities shall accept payment by credit card)
- remittance payment
- wireless transfer via bank account
Other options how to settle the charges shall be payment via SMS or Internet. However, such way of payment will depend on technical equipment in particular state authorities.
In respect to the change as mentioned above, we would recommend you not to stock the stamps in huge amount.
