We would like to inform you about the minimum wage increase in Slovakia as of 1 January 2017. The monthly minimum wage will increase from the actual amount of EUR 405 to EUR 435. Increased minimum wage also means higher wage allowances for night work, standby duty and difficult work performance that are also calculated based on the minimum wage.
Increase of minimum wage
The minimum monthly wage will reach 435 EUR as of January, 2017 (increase by EUR 30).
The minimum hourly wage will be increased from current EUR 2, 328 to the amount of EUR 2,50.
Increase of minimum payroll claim
The minimum wage increase also means increase of the minimum payroll claim dependant on the degree of work difficulty.
For example, in case of degree of work difficulty of 6, when the minimum payroll claim is calculated as 2 multiple of minimum wage, it will be increased from EUR 810 to EUR 870, i.e. by EUR 60.
The calculation of the minimum payroll claim dependant on the degree of work difficulty is as follows:
Allowances for standby duty and night work
Please note that since standby duty and wage allowances for night work are also calculated based on the minimum wage, they will be influenced too.
